Am linken Niederrhein 1969 geboren, verbringt Silke ihre Kindheit und Jugend in Hochneukirch und lebt seit 2006 in Düsseldorf.

Mitte der 70er bis Ende der 80er Jahre experimentierte sie mit verschiedensten Kreativtechniken, die Kindern und Jugendlichen zu dieser Zeit zur Verfügung stehen. Eine besondere Leidenschaft und Herzenssache ist die jährliche Kreation ihrer eigenen kleinen Sommerkollektion und die Umsetzung im Atelier ihrer Großmutter. In dieser Zeit erlernte sie auch das Fotografieren von ihrem Vater, das sie bis heute begleitet.

Ende der 90er Jahre gründete Silke mit anderen eine Künstlergruppe und stellte ihre Werke – überwiegend Acrylmalerei – erstmals der Öffentlichkeit vor.

Im freien Studium der Kunstakademie und in zahlreichen Workshops erlernt sie die Ölmalerei mit ihren verschiedenen Maltechniken und Komposition. Es kristallisiert sich die Vorlieben für Stillleben heraus, die eine Spannung zwischen Schärfe und Unschärfe tragen.

Born in the Lower Rhine Area in 1969, Silke spent her childhood and youth in Hochneukirch and has lived in Düsseldorf since 2006.

In the mid-70s to the late 80s, she experimented with a wide variety of creative techniques available to children at that time. A special passion and matter of the heart is the annual creation of her own small summer fashion collection and the tailoring in the tailor studio of her grandmother. During this time she also learned photography from her father, which is with her until today.

At the end of the 90s Silke founded an artist group with other painters and presented her works – mainly acrylic paintings – to the public for the first time.

In the free study of the art academy Mönchengladbach and in numerous workshops she learned oil painting with its various painting techniques and composition. It crystallizes the preferences for still life, which carry a tension between sharpness and blur.
